The Arenburg Family

In all our years, we never expected to be on the journey we took in 2013.  One of our children ended up at McMaster Children's Hospital and discovering we would be looking at weeks, if not months before discharge, we spent a few very stressful days trying to sort out the logistics. At the time, we were living in Brampton, so we were facing a long commute; and with three other children at home, we needed to figure out child care and home schooling.

We were referred to Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO) and by the next day we were checking in to a room big enough for our entire family. I can't explain the tremendous feeling of relief and thankfulness for the opportunity to have our whole family together during this difficult time.

Upon arrival, we were in amazement at what RMHCSCO was all about.  The newly renovated House was so clean, modern, and equipped with every necessity you can think of.

We will be forever grateful for RMHCSCO’s dedication to see families through their struggles, and most importantly, to keep families together during the hard times.  To allow for families to stay close and keep a routine during some of their worst days and months, is one of the greatest gifts.
